Terms & Conditions

Updated: December 2025

At ForgeCast (“we,” “our,” “us”), your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you visit our website https://forgecast.tech (the “Site”).

1. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information: We do not require you to provide personal information to access our content. If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we may collect your email address.
  • Non-Personal Information: We automatically collect certain information when you visit our Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited. This helps us improve the Site and understand user behavior.

2. Cookies and Tracking

We may use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience on our Site. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve our content
  • To send newsletters or updates if you subscribe
  • To analyze usage trends and optimize website performance

4. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services such as Google AdSense, analytics providers and hosting providers. These third parties may collect information about your use of our Site according to their own privacy policies.

5. Google User Data (OAuth)

ForgeCast uses Google OAuth and the YouTube Data API to perform actions on a user’s behalf, such as uploading videos, deleting videos and editing video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags and other metadata). Below we describe exactly what Google data we access, how we store it and how you can remove it.

Data Access

We request only the minimum Google permissions required to perform the YouTube operations the user explicitly authorizes. These scopes are limited to:

  • Uploading videos to the user's YouTube channel
  • Deleting videos owned by the user
  • Updating video metadata (title, description, tags and other metadata)

We do not request or access Google data unrelated to these operations.

Data Storage

For user convenience, ForgeCast stores only the Google OAuth access token necessary to perform the authorized YouTube actions without requiring the user to re-authenticate on every request.

  • The access token is stored securely on our servers.
  • We do not store YouTube video content, Google account profile data, email addresses or any other Google user data beyond the access token.
  • We do not share the access token with third parties.

Data Retention

The access token is retained only for as long as it is valid and required to perform the user-authorized actions. When a token expires it becomes unusable and we do not retain any other persistent Google user data.

Data Deletion

Because we store only the OAuth access token, deletion of that token fully removes any Google user data we hold. You may remove our access and request deletion as follows:

After revocation or deletion, ForgeCast will no longer be able to perform any actions on your YouTube account.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no online service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will indicate when the policy was last updated.
